An app that gives a detailed look at changes on business objects.
The Windchill PDMLink Change Analysis Tool is a new way for engineers to understand exactly what happened to the affected and resulting items in a change. It is available as an annotated tree view of the product structure indicating the revise, add, remove and moves that took place for each part. It combines the before and after views and uses icons and annotations to highlight the modifications. It is an intuitive and easy to understand the visual representation of the changes including substitutions.
Changes are analyzed and representation by annotation (icons and tooltips) these give the user an instance vizualization of the changed that have been performed.
- No special configuration needed
- New menus on both change orders and tasks
- Simple to read and understand
- Fully exportable
- Option to show only changes
- Combined, before and after views available
Changes are analyzed and represented by annotation (icons and tooltips) these give the user an instance vizualization of the changed that have been performed.
If the added icon is associated with a part that is a root node then it indicates that a revision of this item exists in the resulting items but not in the affected items. It may also appear at the child levels indicating that this child was added as a child of a revised part.
The removed icon of a part at a root node indicates this part existed in the affected items but no revision of it exists in the resulting items. If it appears in a child level it indicates the child was removed.
The revised icon represents a revision change, so that is to the same part exists in both the affected and resulting lists but at different revisions. The to and from revisions are shown in the revision column. Only parts that exist as root nodes will be shown as revised.
An item or a part number may have substitutes.
If the parts quantity changes it is indicated by the following icon and the column shows the changes
Always associated with the moved from icon this will indicate that the item was previous placed as a child of a different part. Look at the tool tip for information on the parts involved. Note this icon is only shown in the changes column
Always associated with a deletion the moved to will indicate that the item removed and placed as a child of a different part. Look at the tool tip for information on the parts involved. Note this icon is only shown in the changes column
